RESOLUTIONS FROM THE NTEU-UTS BRANCH GENERAL MEETING

This meeting of the members of the UTS Branch of the NTEU –
endorses the proposed Academic Agreement 2010;
acknowledges the membership’s collective responsibility in ensuring that the provisions of the Academic and Support Staff Agreements are enforced in our workplaces across UTS, in the interests of all of our members.
The Members are outraged by the failure of the UTS Management to provide for Support Staff the same conditions concerning the cashing out of annual leave and breaks in service as those provided to academic staff. Nevertheless, taking the totality of the proposed Agreement into account, the Branch Committee, subject to the inclusion of the 30 June 2013 expiry date and the $1000.00 sign on bonus, recommends, and the Branch endorses the University of Technology, Sydney Support Staff Agreement 2010.
Given the unwillingness of the UTS Management to give up its claim for the cashing out of annual leave, the Members encourage all staff who feel they are being pressured into cashing out annual leave to report such to the Union.
