Academic Agreement Reached at Macquarie
The Higher Education Supplement today reports that:
MACQUARIE University has finally agreed to a 17.4 per cent pay increase across four years in a deal that includes limits on fixed-term contracts in return for a wider number of exemptions.
The National Tertiary Education Union said the agreement meant the universities of NSW and Wollongong increasingly were isolated in resisting limitations to fixed-term contracts that had been agreed by the rest of the sector.
