University staff have had their rights at work seriously undermined in the past by the introduction of Higher Education Workplace Relations Requirements (HEWRRs) and WorkChoices. We are now well placed to win back many of the rights that were lost under the Howard era, as well as promote a positive agenda of improving the university sector as a whole.
